Sentinel Advisory

Privacy Policy

Last updated June 24, 2026

The short version: this site does not collect, track, or store your personal data. No cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixels, no fingerprinting. Your data is your data, not mine.

This is the privacy policy for evanmcgoogan.com, the home of Sentinel Advisory, the practice of Evan McGoogan. It is written in plain English and describes exactly how the site behaves today. Every statement here is something you can verify.

What this site collects: nothing, by default

When you read this site, it runs no analytics, sets no cookies of its own, loads no advertising or tracking scripts, and has no contact forms. The fonts are served from this site itself, so no outside font provider sees your visit.

What my host can see

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes ordinary request information such as your IP address and browser type at its network edge, the same as any web host does. To tell real visitors apart from automated bots, Cloudflare may also set one short-lived security cookie (named __cf_bm), which lasts about half an hour and is not used for analytics, tracking, or advertising. I do not receive analytics or visitor reports from any of this. To stop spammers from harvesting my email addresses, Cloudflare also adds a small script to the page that unscrambles those addresses for real visitors; it protects the addresses and does not track you. Cloudflare's handling of all of this is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy.

When you email me

You can reach me at [email protected] or [email protected]. Both addresses use Cloudflare Email Routing, which forwards messages in real time without storing their contents, and delivers them to my personal Google Gmail account, where I read and keep them so I can reply. I use what you send only to correspond with you about working together, and I will not add you to a mailing list. This involves Cloudflare and Google, each under its own privacy policy.

When you book a call

The "Book a call" button opens Google Calendar's scheduling page. Anything you enter there is collected and handled by Google under Google's privacy policy, not by this site.

Links to other sites

Links to LinkedIn, X, GitHub, and Market Sentinel take you to third-party sites that have their own privacy policies. This policy covers only evanmcgoogan.com. None of those services load or track you until you choose to click through.

I never sell your data

I have never sold personal data and never will. In practice there is almost nothing to sell: the only personal information I hold is whatever you choose to put in an email to me.

Your rights

You can email [email protected] at any time and ask me to show you, correct, or delete any emails you have sent me, and I will. Those emails are the only personal information I hold, so there is nothing else to request.

Where your information lives

I operate from the United States. My service providers, Cloudflare and Google, process and store data in the United States and in other countries. If you contact me from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and handled in the United States.

How it is kept secure

The site is served only over an encrypted HTTPS connection. For email and scheduling I rely on the security of Cloudflare and Google. I keep emails you send me only as long as I need them to correspond with you, then delete them.

Changes and questions

If the site's behavior ever changes, for example if I add analytics, I will update this page and its date before that change goes live. Questions about privacy: [email protected].
